Refraction-Microtremor (Re-Mi) geophysical investigations are a cost-effective and noninvasive method to develop one and two-dimensional shear wave velocity profiles. Re-Mi surveys can characterize the ground to a depth of 100 feet for seismic site classication, and can be used inside buildings to investigate voids and sub-slab ground conditions.
The shear wave velocity profiles can be correlated to standard penetration testing “N” values, shear modulus and other geotechnical engineering parameters. We have performed Re-Mi surveys throughout New York and New England.
